Lucy and Mark’s wedding day started at the lovely Hotel Du Vin in Henley-on-Thames. Everything was going perfectly the beautiful flowers arrived from Sonning Flowers, Georgina Heron was doing the finishing touches to Lucy who looked stunning and the rain was holding off.
Mark and his Grooms Women Mel and Steph made their way to meet the guests at Regatta Headquarters where they boarded The Consuta, Lucy and Mark arranged all the river transportation using Hobbs Boat Yard who have a wonderful array of vessels to choose from. Lucy followed along the river front soon after with the bridal party and boarded wonderfully elegant ‘Enchantress’ a very fitting carriage on such a beautiful occasion.
All parties where headed to Temple Island, a stunning venue famous for marking the start of The Henley Royal Regatta. The ceremony commenced with the lovely Fiona Braclik as celebrant. In true dependable British weather style the rain started to fall as Lucy and Mark said their vows, as its lucky to have rain on your wedding day I’m guessing this is exceptionally lucky as it happened during the vows!
The rest of the day was enjoyed by cruising up and down the river and eating a sumptuous high tea in the temple itself, then on to the New Orleans for the evening party.
A wonderful day was had by all despite the rain showers, a truly beautiful venue and location to get married.
Congratulations Mark and Lucy
