Why have an Engagement shoot?
Hi, well from my perspective as a photographer an engagement shoot helps me get to know my couples, I need to see how they interact together as well as in front of the camera. Lots of people shy away from the camera resulting in awkward images, so this is away of helping them relax, by making it an informal shoot and showing them that having a photo session can actually be quite fun!
Lots of my couples have commented on the benefits of doing a test run before the actual wedding day, they have said it puts them at ease, and as they know whats coming they look forward to spending a little time together away from the celebrations briefly, while I take the photos.
I offer a complimentary engagement shoot for all of my couples, I encourage them to do as they would normally do and offer direction if needed. By the end of the shoot we’ve normally managed to have a good chat about your wedding day including all the little details.
It’s a great opportunity for you to get dressed up in those killer heels or your old faithful wellies, whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in. We choose a location that maybe of significance to you and your partner, could be anywhere a busy London location or a leafy national trust property and that’s it, away we go.
After the shoot I will edit a selection of the images and send them over on disc for you to have. We will discuss which images you like giving me a clear idea of how you would like your wedding photos edited, plus you will have a collection of images which will be treasured for years to come.
